Johnzo West is an Indiana born, Southern California based songwriter and guitarist known for his work as a solo artist, as well as lead guitarist for Eric Burdon & The Animals and Fortress Social Club.

Combining a deep catalog of road tested original tunes and a fondness for improvisational exploration, West has toured nationally both as headliner and as support for acts like Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band, Eric Burdon, Toots and the Maytals, The Expendables, Jackie Greene, and The Cadillac Three.

As lead guitarist for Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and legendary soul/blues/rock outfit, Eric Burdon & The Animals, West has performed worldwide with Burdon sharing stages with the likes of Patti Smith, Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Bob Weir, Lucinda Williams, Dr. John, Leon Bridges, Gary Clark Jr., Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats, Charlie Musselwhite, Little Feat, The Zombies, Jimmy Cliff, and Edgar Winter.

West has also collaborated with Miley Cyrus, contributing a cover of Bob Dylan's "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go" to Amnesty International's compilation record, "Chimes of Freedom: A Tribute To Bob Dylan". The duo also released an accompanying music video directed by James Minchin III, and performed live on The Ellen Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and a variety of charity events.

Other projects include co-composing the score and contributing his original song “Pass It On” to the film Run The Tide, and contributing a cover of Carl Perkins' “Honey Don't” to the film "Perfect Sisters". West has also worked as a live music coach and guitar teacher on films such as the Netflix Motley Crue biopic "The Dirt” and “LOL”.
